FINALLY lost her first tooth yesterday...YAY! This has been in the works for about six months. As soon as Hailyn lost her first tooth back in February, Kam was sure she has a loose tooth too...and we let her believe she did (the competition between these two is unbelievable). Three days ago we finally
realized her tooth was ACTUALLY loose and yesterday she would only let Hailyn wiggle it for her. She came running in with a mouth full of blood and a sore mouth (tooth still intact) she must have let Hailyn really yank on it. After the bleeding stopped she wouldn't let anyone touch it and I didn't mind; I can handle the puke, poop, stitches, staples, and all other owies but for some reason teeth make my stomach do flip-flops. We drove to Aren's office because she said she would let Aren pull it out but after we got there she chickened out. At this point the tooth is hanging on by a thread...literally just sitting in her mouth. After we got home she and Hailyn were playing doll house in their room and she came running out holding her tooth with the proudest smile on her face! I asked if she pulled it herself, "no mom, I just flicked it with my tongue", it really was just sitting in her mouth.
Before bed we wrote the tooth fairy a letter and stuck her tooth in her little tooth fairy pillow and she couldn't fall asleep fast enough...but not before Hailyn said "Kam, I sure hope the tooth fairy can come tonight...I'm not sure they can fly in a storm" UGH...she is maddening sometimes most of the time!
Proud girl with her tooth!
